PROPERTIES AND USES OF MILK OF MAGNESIA


Milk of magnesia is known to be a very effective antacid and laxative but has many other uses including calming the skin. As the most common version seems to sell milk for this reason it is called milk of magnesia but its chemical name is magnesium hydroxide. Its most common use is as an antacid, but it is used but without hard evidence, in other areas such as:


External applications


1 - Helps soothe sunburn after a day at the beach.
2 - Some people use it as especially sensitive skin deodorant
3 - Helps soothe the burning caused by skin irritation (burns, allergies etc.).
4 - It is used on the buttocks of babies to soothe diaper rash.


In the field of Beauty


1 - is thought to help with excess fat in the face. As a matte used in the morning applying in oily areas of skin. Dilute a few drops of magnesia with water. Some people use it under moisturizer and other after moisturizer.

2 - Some people think that helps with acne because it regulates fat.

Precautions


Do not take if there is abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea, or if you have kidney problems.
Not be taken for more than a week because it can cause addiction.

Can clog the pores
In normal or mixed skin may cause dryness, or irritation straps
Must use unflavored milk of magnesia or dyes
Do not use in combination with mineral makeup because it changes color upon contact with milk of magnesia.
