BOOK FOUR Obligations PART General Obligations FIRST TITLE Sources of Obligat ions CHAPTER I Contracts Section 1792 .- Agreement is the agreement of two or more persons to create, transfer, modify or extinguish obligations. Section 1793 .- The agreements that produce or transfer obligations and rights, taking the name of contracts. Section 1794 .- For the existence of the contract requires: I. Consent; II. An object can be the subject of the contract. Section 1795 .- The contract may be invalidated: I. Legal incapacity of the parties or one of them; II. By defects of consent; III. Because its object or motive or purpose is illegal; IV. Because consent is not expressed in the manner provided by law. Section 1796 .- Contracts are perfected by mere consent, except those who should be in a form established by law.
