Bearer (or) (carrying a flag - other meanings)
The term usually refers to the standard-bearer who carries a flag, but also can refer to the act of representing something, someone, a group of particular interest and the like. In some parts of the world champions call people with courage who are able to defend a cause or ideal to take root and tenacity.
