MANUAL SINGLE NATIONAL DISABILITY (PART I OF II) CHAPTER II 2. PERIPHERAL NERVOUS SYSTEM 2.1 General These standards establish the criteria used to assess permanent impairment resulting from the alteration of peripheral spinal nerves. It is important to note that the assessment should be based on a thorough neurological examination. To assess the deficiency is necessary to determine the degree of impairment in respect of: 2.1.1 Pain Pain is a subjective feeling, individual and immeasurable agony, discomfort and anxiety, which affects a person in a variable.
